Article 50-2 (Ban on Unauthorized Collection of Email Addresses) of the Information and Communications Network Act
- No one may collect email addresses from Internet sites where such collection using an application or any other technical device designed to automatically perform such collection is banned..
- No one many sell or distribute email addresses collected in violation of the provisions of paragraph 1.
- No one may use any email address that he/she knows is banned from being collected, sold or distributed under the provisions of paragraphs 1 and/or 2.
Violation will result in a penalty of up to 10 million won.
